Been driving around this town—especially around downtown and over to the east side. Checked out a studio in the Santa Fe Arts Colony, which is a coooool place. the studio is shady and cool (mine is so hot I boil over) and has windows which open (aaah). But it is way too small and the drive would kill me. So I am content to stay where I am.
the woman renting it makes huge commissions for homes. She said perhaps policemen would like to buy my paintings of them. hmmm. it’s getting to be time to put them (the paintings) out in the world, let them take their first steps.
movie review: after hearing so much about the movie Looper, went to see it. I think it is made for young men, about age 25. A romp of a story, with inane guns and crashes, and booming sound effects (bring earplugs..I almost wrote earphones, which actually seems like a good idea. then you could listen to a podcast or something with wit or humor).
I thought the movies Sourcecode and The Kid were better movies about interplay between the future and present. Lots better. just in case you want to know.
